Curriculum

Natyom teaches students of all different levels. Students are ingrained in both the fundamentals and technique. Each student is taught several items after mastering the fundamental basics. Students are allowed to perform the items at events, specified by the guru, as well at the annual NATYOSAV event. Students will also be provided Dance Videos at the teachers discretion to aid them in practice.

Natyom uses the SAMPADA Exams after each level in order to accredit the students. SAMPADA stands for the Silicon Andhra Music Performing Arts and Dance Academy. Students may perform an Arangetram after completing all levels. Both completion of the SAMPADA Exam and an Arangetram signal mastery of the basics. This however, does not signal the end of a dancer’s journey. Bharatanatyam is a life long artform in which students are constant learners. Even after mastering the basics, there are several more complex items that a student can learn as well as choreograph.

All Natyom Alumni who have completed their arangetram and SAMPADA exams are given access to a Natyom alumni network. All members have exclusive access to specific alumni events and shows. These performers are allowed to perform in special Natyom Dance Performances and are given access to Natyom content. Many members are allowed to direct plays as well as teach at Natyom under the guidance of the Guru. Each Alumni member may access these events through their NFT.
